ASUS ROG Swift OLED: Preview of the new gamPG32UCDPing monitor with surprising 480 Hz refresh rate, ahead of CES 2024

ASUS has unveiled the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP, a 32-inch gaming monitor that claims to be the world's 'first dual-mode monitor'. The ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP will be revealed at CES 2024 with 4K/240Hz and 1080p/480Hz display options."

ASUS is preparing for a CES 2024 full of new features. Earlier this month, the company confirmed its participation at next year's Las Vegas conference with the ROG Phone 8 and a new version of the Zephyrus G14. Although a substantial leak has revealed most of the information about the former, little is known about the latter and how ASUS will distinguish it from its current model.

Now, the company has begun to give clues about a new gaming monitor that will be located within its ROG Swift OLED range. To recap, it's been a few months since ASUS introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM, and ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, a trio of monitors with panel sizes of 49 inches, 32 inches, and 34 inches, respectively. Although the company has not yet launched the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM or the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, it has decided to add the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP to its growing catalog.

As VideoCardz points out, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP shares its design with the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM, as well as a native 4K resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. However, the former adds a 1080p and 480 Hz option, which The last one is missing. Interestingly, it appears that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP and LG UltraGear 32GS95UE share the same OLED panel, details which we have covered separately. Thus, it seems that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP will be positioned as a more expensive alternative to the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen how much they will cost or when they will go on sale.
